This Christmas…

My goals for 2016

  • Eat healthier! I’m going gluten free after the clock strikes twelve.I’ll also be eating a lot more fruits and veggies.
  • Work out! I’m going to do yoga every day, and I’m going to try…TRY being the key word here…to do some cardio. We’ll see. 😳
  • Read the whole Bible! I’ve done this before, but you can never read the Bible too many times.
  • Start saving more money! I have a bad habit of spending my money right after I get it.

I wish you all the best! See you next year!

This Christmas…

Merry Christmas Eve! I hope your days have been merry and bright 😉

As I was trying to come up with a blog post idea for this week, I realized I was just trying to come up with a post that would get a lot of likes, maybe a few new followers…but that’s not what this is about. I love to write and share my life with you, so that’s what I’m going to do from now on. I’d like to change my blog name, and write more posts about my everyday life. Of course, I’ll still keep doing my fashion posts, but I would just like to expand my genre of topics.

Instead of writing a grand, exciting blog post with confetti and balloons, I’m going to write about my family Christmas. Our traditions are part of what makes the season so special to me.

The Food – there are a few foods that absolutely HAVE to be made in order for it to feel like Christmas; Sausage Balls, Cheese Straws, Pecan Pie Muffins, and Pimento Cheese. So Southern, I know. ❤ On Christmas morning we always eat Cinnamon Rolls, and we snack on leftover treats from various parties.

The Parties – my mom always has a party with the company she works for, so I usually end up banished with the “kids” in another room. My favorite party of the year has got to be the annual gathering of my whole mom’s side of the family. It’s crazy and chaotic, but so, so fun.

The Movies – ELF, ELF, and more ELF! My favorite Christmas movie of all time. We usually watch the three Santa Clause movies as well. This year a new episode of When Calls the Heart airs on Hallmark on Christmas night, so I will most definitely will be watching that. Frosty the Snowman, Charlie Brown Christmas, and Rudolph are on the must-watch list too.

Well, that’s my holiday season in a nutshell! I wish you all the very best Christmas, and I’ll talk to you again soon. 🙂

My November Favorites

November, where did you go?  It is THREE WEEKS UNTIL CHRISTMAS EVE, Y’ALL. COME ON NOW.

Okay Hannah, just breathe.

I apologize for my over-excitement.

Here are some of my favorite products/things/randomness from November!

These Rose Gold Nikes are honestly my favorite pair of shoes right now. I got them on Black Friday for only $50!

I love this Poreless Face Primer from e.l.f.! It makes my skin look smoother, and my foundation didn’t crack or run with it on.

I just bought this Lilly Pulitzer stocking from Jacob Wallace Designs. Isn’t it gorgeous? 😍

I’ve been curling my hair a lot lately, and this Curling Wand is perfect! It’s budget-friendly as well, so that makes it even MORE perfect.

I think the most exciting thing that happened to me in November is that two of my photos were selected to be in the Vice President’s house!  🙌 I’m so unbelievably excited about this. Thanks to National Geographic Kids for choosing my photos 🙂

Until next time –

Gift Ideas for Her

It may sound crazy, but Christmas is right around the corner! You may be the type of person that goes out on Christmas Eve to buy all their presents, or you could be at the other end of the spectrum and have all of your presents purchased by mid-July. I’m usually a procrastinator, but when it comes to Christmas, I’m pretty efficient. It can be difficult knowing what to purchase, so I put together this little list that will be sure to please all the ladies on your list. Everything is under $25, so they’re perfect for office gifts and Secret Santas!

These Initial Necklaces are so popular right now! You can order it with up to 8 characters, but the price increases with each letter. $23

How cute would these Positive Pencils be for a teacher gift? 😍 $14

Mugs are always a good Christmas present, especially when it’s as beautiful as this one! $14

This Nude Eyeshadow Palette is my absolute favorite! I use it every day. $10

The beautyblender has become iconic in the beauty world in the past couple of years. I’m asking for this for Christmas! $20

It may seem strange to purchase perfume from American Eagle, but the Vintage Fragrance Mist is my favorite smell, hands down. $20

Tech Gloves are perfect for the teenagers in your life, whether it’s a boy or a girl! $3.50

I hope this post helped give you some gift ideas for the upcoming holiday season! Have a great weekend everyone. 🙂

Ipsy Bag Review – November 2016

Hi everybody! You’re probably tired of my excuses for not posting, but I’ve been sick for a while and haven’t really felt like taking pictures. I’m on the mend now, so hopefully I’ll be posting more. 🙂

I just received my second Ipsy bag, and I’m pretty happy with the contents!

First off, how cute is this bag? Love it wayyyyy more than last months.

Item #1 – Luxie Rose Gold Duo Fiber Brush. I’ve always loved rose gold, and it looks beautiful on this makeup brush! (Travel Size) Rating: 4/5 Get 20% off with the code IPSYTRAVEL.

Item #2 – Formula X Nail Polish in Huntress. I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about this color (sort of a shimmery hunter green), but it actually looks really pretty on! I tried to get a picture, but I sort of smeared them – sorry about that. 😦 (Full Size) Rating: 4/5

Item #3 – Verb Ghost Oil. I’m obsessed….this stuff is AMAZING. It calmed down my frizzy hair without making it greasy, which is a feat that no hair product has accomplished before. (Sample Size) Rating: 5/5 Get 10% off with the code IPSY10.

Item #4 – Foil Eyes Eyeshadow Palette. These colors are super pigmented and go on very smoothly. It’s not a particularly high-end brand, but I’m pleased with the quality! (Sample Size) Rating: 4/5 Get 10% off with the code IPSY.

I was really pleased with this months bag! That being said, I’m actually planning on unsubscribing to try out another beauty service – Birchbox! I’ll keep you posted 🙂

Stripes and Sweaters

What’s up guys? I hope your week has been good so far – if not, just hang in there. It’s almost Friday. 😉

NC weather is making me mad right now. First it wants to be cold, then it wants to be hot….it’s November, y’all. Today it’s 80 degrees outside. However, being the stubborn girl that I am, I’ve been wearing my sweaters and doing exactly what the name says: sweat. It’s all in the name of fashion, of course.

Grey Sweaters are so versatile for fall – I have three or four that I switch out through the cooler months.

Striped T-shirts – every girl should have at least one. They’re classy yet comfortable, so you can dress them up or down.

Boyfriend Jeans are the ultimate stylish-yet-comfortable jeans. I like mine a bit tighter in the thighs so they don’t look like sweatpants, but you can go as baggy or as tight as you like. Just make sure they have that trademark cuff on the bottom.!

Pink Converse…are you tired of seeing them yet?

My exact necklace isn’t available online, but you can check out these other Fair Trade options.

My Book of the Day is Battle of the Ampere by Richard Paul Evans. If you’re into sci-fi, you’ll love this book!

I’m going to go take off my sweater now…the temperature is still rising and I have to say, I’m a bit grumpy about it. 😩
